Goal: anxiety
Principle: this test is based on the antagonism between rodent's spontaneous exploratory behavior and their innate aversion to open and enlightened places. The apparatus consists of open arms and closed arms, crossed in the middle perpendicularly to each other, and a center area. Animals are given access to all of the arms and are allowed to move freely between them. Time spent in the enclosed arms will be used as an indice of anxiety.
