Goal: short-term memory, hippocampal dysfunction.
Principle: the animal is placed in a Y maze, in which one arm is blocked off, while the two others are accessible. The animal is then placed in the start arm and the blocked arm is uncovered. In normal conditions, the animal will further explore the unknown arm.
